Right tackle Victor Stoffel talked to John DiCarlo and Declan Landis on this week's podcast to talk about what he believes is an improved Temple offensive line.
With preseason camp a little more than a month away, the 6-foot-8, 300-pound redshirt junior offered listeners some insight into his recovery from offseason knee surgery, why he's feeling as healthy as he has in a long time, and why he is encouraged from what he has seen from midyear additions at tackle in freshman Melvin Siani and junior Diego Barajas.
This week's podcast also includes more football recruiting updates, a clip from Max Dinenberg's interview with Temple recruiting target and Clearwater Academy International edge rusher Samuel Ehret, and answers to a wide-ranging mailbag.
*Editors note: This week's episode was recorded prior to Temple receiving a verbal commitment from tight end Daniel Evert. A 6-foot-5, 235-pound native of Regensburg, Germany, Evert attended Stan Drayton's June 11 prospect camp while part of the PPI tour. He is the fifth player from the 2024 class to verbally commit to Temple.

Two years ago, Jahlil White capped off his redshirt freshman season by earning Big 5 Rookie of the Year honors while also being named to the American Athletic Conference All-Freshman team.
But as the Owls fell well short of their NCAA Tournament expectations this past season, White struggled with his scoring production and his confidence as part of a team that lost its way.
"I feel like we all kind of got a little bit selfish," White said Friday on this week's episode of The Scoop. "We thought about ourselves before the team sometimes, and it showed on the court. We weren't as connected as we should have been, and it showed. It takes much more than just having talent to be a successful team, and that was a clear example of it last year."
White thinks that will change under new head coach Adam Fisher. Find out what White had to say about the new staff and the newest transfer portal additions, including Quante Berry, Matteo Picarelli, Jordan Riley and Steve Settle, on this week's podcast.
And we have some Temple football recruiting updates for you in the mailbag as well.

The Broad Street Birds, a team of former Temple players and several from the 2018-19 team that advanced to the NCAA Tournament, will look to take aim at the $1 million, winner-take-all TBT prize this summer, and former Owls star Shizz Alston joined John DiCarlo, Rymir Vaughn and Javon Edmonds on The Scoop this week to talk about how the team was assembled and who could be added to the roster in the coming weeks.
Alston mentioned the names of a few more former prominent Temple players who could give the Broad Street Birds some addition scoring punch this summer.
Alston, who scored 1,597 career points, will be joined on the team by former teammates like Quinton Rose, who started for the Knicks' G League team this past season, Scootie Randall, Ernest Aflakpui, J.P. Moorman, Dre Perry and Damion Moore, along with another former Owl in Daniel Dingle.
In addition to talking about the makeup of the Broad Street Birds roster, Alston talked about why he thinks new Temple head coach Adam Fisher will succeed on North Broad Street and why he and the program need more help with NIL resources in the future.
John, Vaughn and Declan Landis dove into plenty of football talk in the mailbag as well.

If you're a Temple football fan and an Eagles fan, this week's episode of The Scoop is the best of both worlds for you.
Fran Duffy, a production manager and on-air talent with the Philadelphia Eagles, joined us this week to talk about the numerous Temple ties to the organization, including five Nick Sirianni assistants with Temple experience, and how the Owls' football program launched his own career.
Duffy, who hosts Eagles pre- and post-game coverage, as well as the Journey to the Draft and Eagle Eye in the Sky podcasts, got his start in football as Al Golden's Temple football video coordinator back in 2006, where he worked with current Eagles defensive coordinator Sean Desai, then an academics graduate assistant with the Owls. Duffy talked to us about his time at Temple during a period when Golden revived the program, as well as former Owls and current Eagles Haason Reddick and Shaun Bradley.
Duffy also talked about what looks to be a very successful NFL Draft for the Eagles, as well as the emergence of quarterback Jalen Hurts.
You'll get that, some football and basketball recruiting updates and more this week.
